A resident of Hawthorne for more than 23 years, he died suddenly in Las Vegas last Wednesday (17 Nov) as a result of a heart attack. A veteran on the first World War, Mr. JEROME joined the Navy in 1911 and came to Hawthorne in 1931 where he was attached to the Naval Ammunition Depot until his retirement from civil service. He was a native of Vermont and was aged 63. Besides his widow Mrs. Elsie JEROME, who was with him in Las Vegas when he was stricken, he leaves four step-children; Edward PINE, Reno Engineer, Mrs. Stewart JOHNSON, Mrs. Joseph MACHAY and Mrs. John GUYMON, all of Hawthorne, three brothers and three sisters all residing in New York state.
