He was active in both state and local politics and was a man of great ethics, integrity and honesty. He was a member of the Hawthorne Lodge, Knights of Pythias and his funeral today will be conducted under the auspices of that society. He leaves a sister and other relatives in New York and a large number of friends to mourn his death.
