That is the story of the end of Ed HUGHES, who recently took his own life by hanging himself in the county jail and whose bodywas yesterday consigned to a remote corner of the Goldfield cemetery. There is a toouch of pathos in the pequiliar story of this mans career, which must appeal to all who are familuar with the case from its beginning to its tragic end. In every line left in the cell where the suicide took place was something which spoke of a deep and sincere regard for his worthless wife and unfailing affection for his two boys is shown in the fact that almost in the very face of death itself, he had them and their future in his mind, and the anxiety concerning their final outcome in life is shown in versus which he called "The Father's Prayer."
