Listers, Would appreciate information about this location, which is given on the death certificate for one of my MacLean relatives as her mother's place of birth. Am tracking down my gggrandmother's name and place of birth through the death certificates of those of her children who emigrated to the Boston area from NS in the late 19th century. In this one, her mother is given as Christy and her birthplace is given at this location. Should be somewhere in Inverness county. I suspect it is either near Mabou or Lake Ainslee or perhaps near Malagawatch or River Denys. The other two siblings' info is that her name before her marriage was Christine (or Christie) Campbell. The reference to Inverness county may be to where she lived as a child since the others' information placed her birth in Scotland. For sure, her husband, Donald M*clean, was born in Coll about 1814. Know that she died in Sydney before 1859, so can't get her name or additional info from NS vital records or from the early census records there which are listed in the husband's name. Any other info useful for getting info is appreciated. Have also already checked the McDougall book about Inverness county. Ardith

Another possibility, could be that it is "Mullach". If so than it would be Whycocomagh Mtn.
