Gale - 65 yrs Albert James MacIntyre - 83 yrs Dollie MacPherson - 96 yrs Vincent Wilfred Isaac - 79 yrs Mary Irene Crummey - 84 yrs Allina 'Allie' MacLeod Passed in: Sydney Mines Passed on: September 8th, 2013 It's with great sadness that we the family of Allina MacLeod, announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt. Allina passed away peacefully at home on Sunday Sept. 8, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly missed by all. She was the wife of the late Bart MacLeod and the daughter of Jerry and Elizibeth Whitty. After losing her beloved husband, Allina devoted her entire life to raising and caring for her family. Allie is survived by her children, Jerry (Margret), Mill Creek, Tom (Marie), Rita (Bernie Astephen) of North Sydney, Yvonne (the late Fred Bryan) of Florence, Sonny, Patrica (Bill Penny), Barbara (Robert Cartwright), Cathy (the late Raymond Carey); daughter-in-law, Brenda, Terry (Agnes), Duckie (Marilyn), Laura-Lee (Derrick Nolan), all of Sydney Mines. Along with 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Charlotte (the late Patrick White), Edie (Alex Johnson) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Ma was also predeceased by sons, Kevin and Patrick, granddaughter, Mary MacLeod, infant grandson, Wayne Fudge, brothers, Lawerence and Steve Whitty, stepbrothers, Robert and Jack MacGean and sisters, Sissy, Mary Jane and Veronica. Visitation for Allina MacLeod will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home on 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. A celebration of Allina's life will take place on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Sydney Mines, with Fr. JJ MacDonald officiating. Elaine Ann (Carrigan) MacEachern Born In: North Sydney Passed in: New Waterford Passed on: September 8th, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Elaine Ann MacEachern, 58, of New Waterford on Sept. 8, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Hugh 'Mick' and Lena (Forward) Carrigan. Elaine was a member of Mount Carmel Church, New Waterford. In earlier years she worked at the G.I. Plant, Muise's Dairy, B&W meat market, Ponderosa and more recently, Stream. Elaine loved the Internet, especially keeping close with friends through Facebook. In the 1970s and 80s, she was a member of the Cape Breton CB Radio Club. Elaine also loved animals, cooking and planning events for family and friends. Surviving are husband, Hugh; daughter, Michelle (Chris Hughes), and her daughter, Kaley, Calgary; son, Jason and his son, Jacob, New Waterford; stepsons, Danny (Michelle) MacEachern and their children Hillary and Jesse; Allan (Stacey) MacEachern and their children Aaron and Emily, all of Sydney; brother, Brian (Carol), Brampton, Ont.; sisters, Shelly MacKinnon (Fabian Oliver), Cindy (Billy) MacLellan, both of New Waterford; mother-in-law, Agnes MacEachern, New Waterford; best friends Shirley Rockett, Lingan and Linda Bisson, New Waterford; her kitty-cat, Angel. Mary 'Irene' Crummey Passed in: New Waterford Passed on: September 7th, 2013 Mary Irene Crummey, devoted wife to Wilfred J. Crummey, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Sept. 7, 2013, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Buddy and Irene Wilson. She was known for her great sense of humour and selflessness. She was a big Toronto Blue Jay's fan, loved darts and a good game of poker as well as other card games. She loved animals and will be missed by her dog Daisy, who was always by her side. Irene was a hard-working and loving woman who left a lasting impression on anyone who met her. She will live on in the hearts of her family always. Irene is survived by her son, Wilfred, Toronto; daughters, Lorraine (Joe) Martell, Sydney, and Marilyn (Ricky) Campbell, Lingan; brother, Tommy (Margie) Wilson, New Waterford; grandchildren, Lisa, Kimberley, Derek and Gordie; great-grandchildren, Dreyden, Olivia, Mya, Jordon, Brendan, Keegan, Emma and Markus. Terrance 'Terry' Tighe Born In: New Victoria Passed in: New Victoria Passed on: September 8th, 2013 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Terry Tighe on Sept. 8, 2013, at home. Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Jackie and Becky (Laffin) Tighe. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, New Victoria. Terry will always be remembered by his family and friends as being kind with a pure heart and a beautiful sense of humour. His passions were his love of his family, his daughter Tara and grandson Alex, whom he adored immensely. Terry was known for his love of old cars, music and guitar. He was a member of Local 682 Pipefitters Union and traveled all over Canada with his brother Pat, family and friends, as a pipefitter/rigger. Terry is survived by his daughter, Tara Parr; grandson, Alex; sister, Donna; brothers, Patty (Annette), Peter, Jackie, Wayne (Selena) and best friend and brother Tommy; many nieces and nephews. Born in New Waterford, he is the son of the late Gus and Betty (Roach) Gale. Lenus was a very kind and generous person, not only toward his own family but anybody who knew him. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be sadly missed by his many friends. Albert MacIntyre Born In: Sydney Passed in: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed on: September 9th, 2013 Albert James MacIntyre, age 83 of Halifax, passed away Sept. 9, 2013 at Victoria General Hospital. Born in Syndey, N.S., he was the son of the late Allan and Lila MacIntyre. Albert worked for the Cape Breton Post for 46 years. He was a loving husband of 63 years, Loving father and grandfather. He was a member of the United Baptist Church in Syndey. He was a member of the Kinsmen. He loved to fish and hunt.
