Happy fall! Tis the season to start digging up my ancestors only this year I have thought of a new approach. Please have a look at the below and let me know if you have researched or have any further information. My new approach is both DNA and hiring a Scottish genealogist to look into my MacDonald heritage because I do not believe I can do it myself after over 10 years and most of my findings being through the help of you great folks. Ruaidh, Lochaber is not a place and could mean Roybridge or Ruadh Mor. Even those I speak to that live and do genealogy/geography history in Scotland can not give me a answer to this and be 100% as to where they may be from “Ruaidh, Lochaber”. I thought they were from Clan Ranald and I have the Keppoch cheif tellign me that they are of Keppoch.. this is another matter, not genealogy but it makes it all the more frustrating! So before I go on with consulting a genealogist or DNA I would like to know if anyone else has for this line?
