Loving wife of over 60 years to the late Ken Willison. Devoted mother of Margaret Ann (Bill McGarvie), Ruth, Ottawa, and Joan (Mark Howes) Kingston. Proud gramma of Emily Gibbs and Sara Willison. Survived by her sister, Gladys MacNevin of Cape Breton. Predeceased by her son-in-law Brian Gibbs (late husband of Joan), and her brothers Donald, Alistar and Ronald. Portia grew up in Dominion, Cape Breton and received her nursing training in Boston, MA. She served during <http://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/ww2/?personid=166794412&affiliateID=3126>World War II as a Registered Nurse with the Canadian Air Force Medical Squad in Halifax, NS., where she met her husband, Ken, a Military Pharmacist. Following the war, they moved to Kingston where they opened and operated Willison's Drug Store. Portia was a long-time member of St. Margaret's United Church.
