Born and raised in Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Flossie O'Handley. Left to mourn are her children, Tanya (Chris) and Keith (Angie). She will be missed terribly by her grandchildren, Jon, Autumn, Brianna, Kyleigh and Calem, who were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Campbell, Reserve Mines; brothers, Dannie (Margie), Dominion and Cecil, Glace Bay, as well as aunts, uncles, numerous nephews and one niece. Also left to mourn is her special friend, Wilfred, and many life-long friends. Mom had many gifts, but one of her greatest gifts, was her big heart. If you knew her, she has touched you in some way. Whether it be her angelic voice, or her compassion for others. She walked by no one in need and left no stone unturned. She judged no one, and only hoped for the same. She lived her life to the fullest, no matter what obstacle she was faced. She had a passion for singing since she was a small child. One of her biggest goals was for her voice to be heard like a wing on a prayer, and now it will be. She always wanted to leave a legacy for her grandchildren, and that she has done. Cremation has taken place as she wished and a memorial service will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Children's Wish Foundation. She now leads the heavenly choir and is finally at peace.
