MacInnis - Jean May (Dixon) Murray - 78 yrs MacCALDER The family of Wallace Alexander MacCalder wish to notify his friends and neighbours of his passing at the age of 73. Wallace passed away peacefully at Strait Richmond Hospital on October 17th. He was a son of the late Donald and Nellie (nee MacDonald) MacCalder, born and raised in River Denys. He is survived by his only daughter Laura Lee (nee MacCalder) Usher; son-in-law Melvin Usher; mother of his children Leone (nee MacDonald) MacCalder; and his friend Peter Lamey; grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a large extended family; brothers Donnie and his family of Calgary, Alberta and Allan and family of AB. He was predeceased by his son Alexander in infancy, and brother Ivan. Cremation has taken place, and as per his wishes no service will be held. Cards of sympathy for the family can be sent to Laura Usher, River Denys, B0E 2Y0. Donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. MacDONALD Donald Thomas MacDonald of Toronto, and formerly of Judique, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario, at age 87 on Saturday, September 28th, 2013. Born November 19th, 1925, in Judique, he was a son of the late Angus (the Carpenter) and Christine (MacDonnell) MacDonald. He spent his early life in Judique before moving to Toronto in the late 1950s, where he was employed at St. Michael's Hospital until his retirement in 1991. He was the much loved brother of John (Pecka), Lawrence (late Cathy), Kay (late Dick MacFarlain), Sister Edna, CSM, and the late Archie (Helen) and Alexander (Penny), and sisters Anne (Gip Smith), Florence Felix, Sadie and Christine Evans. Donald will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Richard Felix and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was waked one day, Monday, September 30th, 2013, at the Turner and Porter "Neweduk-Erin Mills" Chapel, Mississauga, Ontario. His remains were then transferred to the Community Room of the Judique Fire Department for viewing on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass took place Friday, October 4th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Andrew's Church, Judique, with Rev. Allan MacMillan presiding. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Green's Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. MacINNIS Alexander A. MacInnis passed away peacefully surrounded by his family following a lengthy battle with cancer. Alex passed at Lachine Hospital, Quebec, on September 25th, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Betty (MacDonald); cherished stepfather of Donna, Sharon, Doris and Michelle; also three children from a previous marriage, Marguerite, Wayne and Kimberly; and numerous grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Annie Jane, Marie, John, Richard, Catherine and Doug. Alex was predeceased by his father John, his mother Margaret and brothers Jim and Blaise. He was born in Mabou and moved to Montreal in the late `50s. He enjoyed horse racing, fishing and playing cards. A wake will be held at St. Mary's Funeral Parlor, Mabou, on Thursday, Oct. 24th, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Oct. 25th at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary's Church, Mabou, with Father Angus Morris officiating. Donations can be made to Cancer Society or to St. Mary's Graveyard. MURRAY Jean May (Dixon) Murray, January 2nd, 1933 - October 19th, 2013, daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine (Timmons) Dixon (Inverness). Jean loved to skate, coast, and play ball. She loved to fish and enjoy the outdoors. She will be missed by all who came to know her. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Angus Archie Murray (Mabou); in-laws James and Anna (Harman) Murray (Mabou); her sister, Jessie (late Clarence) Jardine (Toronto); brother Alexander (late Evelyn) Dixon (Inverness). Jean is survived by her daughter, Edith Murray, Inverness; her beloved grandchildren, Sheila Kutney (Raymond MacLellan), Inverness; Hugh Cameron Wallace (Kelsey MacKenzie), Dartmouth; Blake Michael Wallace (Stephanie Whitehead), Antigonish; Jessie Lee Wallace, Inverness; and great-grandson Seth Aaron MacEachern, Inverness. She is also survived by her sister, Beatrice (Jim) Gillis, Inverness; brother Isaac (Joan) Dixon, Bible Hill; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations may be made in Jean's memory to St. Matthew's Corner Cemetery Fund, or Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
