LeBlanc - 86 yrs Karlena A. MacKenzie - 29 yrs Marie "Eveline" Noe - 71yrs LeBLANC Moise A. LeBlanc, age 86, of East Margaree, died September 30th, 2013, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in East Margaree to the late Alex J. and Emilienne (Poirier) LeBlanc, Moise was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was a hard-working man who provided well for his family. He enjoyed a good game of cards, great music, and visits from family and friends. He is survived by wife Helen LeBlanc; sons Wayne (Linda), Antigonish; Clifford (Marie), Ontario; Harvey, East Margaree; daughters Phyllis (Calvin) MacMillan, Prince Edward Island; Marion, Saulnierville; Rovena, Antigonish; sister-in-law Helen C. LeBlanc; grandchildren Gisele, Melissa, Hailley, Gabrielle, Bryanne, Dominic, Curtis, Anna Marie, Alex, and Travis. Moise was predeceased by brothers Arthur LeBlanc, James LeBlanc, and Francis LeBlanc; sister Dora Delaney. The body rested at St. Michael's Parish Hall, East Margaree. Funeral mass was held on Friday, October 4th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael Church, East Margaree. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Condolences may be sent to: [email protected] MacKENZIE Loving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt Karlena A. MacKenzie, age 29, died unexpectedly December 15th at the Newton -Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts. She was born in Winchester, Ma. July 23rd, 1983 to John MacKenzie of Christmas Island and the late Jessie Ann MacKenzie of Port Hood. Karlena was raised in Billerica, Ma. and spent her summers in Cape Breton. Karlena was employed as a store clerk at Jim's Quick Stop in Billerica, Ma., and was a certified EMT, hairdresser and nursing assistant. Besides her father, Karlena is survived by her daughter, Ashlynn Record; her brothers, Darrell MacKenzie and his wife Amy, and Kirk MacKenzie and his wife Brenda; her nieces and nephews, Evan, Alex, Rj, Alyssa, Keira and Lianna; as well as her grandmother, Catherine MacKenzie. We will be laying Karlena to rest in St Peters Cemetery on October 11th alongside her mother and grandmother. There will be a showing at Port Hood Community Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Mass at St. Peter's Parish on October 11th at 2:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to come to our house at 19 Cam Kenzie Lane, Port Hood, following the services for food and refreshments. NOEL Marie "Eveline" Noel, age 71 of Cheticamp, died October 2nd, 2013 in Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Born in Cheticamp to the late Joseph and Rose Anne (Boudreau) LeFort, she was a devoted schoolteacher for many years. Eveline had many talents and always loved a challenge in starting a new craft project. She was a true animal lover. Eveline had many friends of different ages and was known for her great sense of humour. Her outlook on life was very positive throughout her long battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed. Eveline is survived by sister Elizabeth (Bernie) Chiasson, Georgetown, Ont.; stepchildren Andre (Jeanne) LeBlanc, Cheticamp; Lorna (Hughie) MacKinnon, Halifax; Velma (Wayne) Robichaud, Prince Edward Island; Kathleen (Derrick) Poirier, Cheticamp. She was predeceased by husband Charles Noel; loving companion Didace LeBlanc; brothers Thomas, George, Hubert, John Joe; sisters Rebecca Berthier, Marie Helene Haché. The body was cremated. Funeral mass was held on Saturday, October 5th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Peter's Church, Cheticamp, burial in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Cheticamp Funeral Services Ltd.
