Born and raised in Florence, Margaret was the daughter of the late Norman (Diddy) and Eva (Boutilier) MacIntyre. She was a member of Carman United Church, Sydney Mines. Margaret worked at the Northside General Hospital for 27 years until her retirement in 1996, leaving behind her wonderful co-workers whom she loved so much. She worked hard but always looked forward to going to see her friends at the hospital. Those who knew Margaret, knew the special love she had for her little buddy, her dog Maggie, who will certainly miss her. Margaret 'Margie' was the rock of our family. She was always there with the teapot on for anyone who showed up at her door, and her passtime was heading out with her sisters shopping at the mall, and occasionally hitting the bingo hall. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Wayne MacDonald), Sydney Mines; son, Cecil (Debbie), Winnipeg, and seven grandchildren, Robert, Lee Ann, Jeff, Justin and Megan all from Sydney Mines, Jason and Stacey from Winnipeg, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived her sisters, Beanie (Vincent Legatto), Mary Gardiner and Leckie (Alex Edwards) and brothers, Ricky, Melvin (Laurena) and Tommy (Thelma), all from Sydney Mines. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Cecil Boulter, her daughter, Diane, sons, Kevin and David, sisters, Helena, Leona, Catherina (Kay), Naomi, Lillian and Geraldine, and brothers, Ronald, Danny and Phillip. Visitation for the late Margaret Boulter will be held in the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, today (Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place Friday at 11 a.m. in Carman United Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Edward 'Eddie' LeBlanc Born In: Belle Cote Passed in: Cheticamp Passed on: October 13th, 2013 Edward John 'Eddie' LeBlanc, 87, Cheticamp, passed away peacefully Oct. 13, 2013, at Foyer Pere Fiset Nursing Home, Cheticamp, where he has been a resident for the last two and a half years. Eddie was born in Belle Cote; but, lived many years in Ontario. He also worked in Dingwall, Quebec and Niagara Falls. In 1981 he returned home to Belle Cote where he worked at Margaree Windows for six years and then at the beach for six years before retiring. Papa Eddie was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed music, playing cards and gardening. Eddie is survived by his loving wife, of 60 years, Mary E. LeBlanc; also son, David (Shelley) LeBlanc; daughter, Debbie (Brian) Burns; grandchildren, Jessie Burns, Danielle and Evan LeBlanc. Also survived by sister, Theresa (Bill) Mosher, Cheticamp; brothers, Germie (Rita), Waltham, Mass., and Freddie, Cheticamp; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John F. and Julia (Stubbert) LeBlanc, sisters, Florence, Sadie, Katherine, Mabel, brothers, Germain, Dennis and Bernie. Eddie's ashes will be at St. Michael's Church in East Margaree an hour prior to time of funeral. Funeral mass will be held Friday, Oct. 18 at St Michael's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Fr. Doug MacDonald officiating. No flowers please, memorial donations in memory of Eddie may be made to Foyer Pere Fiset, Alzheimer Association or charity of choice. Online condolences may be sent to [email protected] Stephen Pachok Born In: Sydney Passed in: Sydney Passed on: October 15th, 2013 Stephen Pachok, of Rosewood Drive, Sydney, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Nykola and Eva (Chimchuk) Pachok. Stephen was employed with the province of Nova Scotia, retiring from the Department of Social Services. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Currie); daughters, Paulette (Carter) Hayes and Stephanie; sisters, Mary McKenna and Irene Pachok and granddaughters, Cassandra and Alexandra. Besides his parents, Stephen was predeceased by his brother, Anthony. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
