LAWRENCE nee MacKinnon June 4, 1912 - September 30, 2013 "Say not in grief 'She is no more' but live in thankfulness that she was". Educator, traveler, adventurer, raconteur, sport and outdoor enthusiast, student of the written word. This exceptional woman celebrated life as a daughter, sister, student, teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Ainslie was born June 4, 1912 to Rev. Dr. Murdoch MacKinnon and Lilian Vaux Mackinnon in Regina, Saskatchewan and passed away at age 101 in Ottawa. Predeceased by her beloved husband John, by sister Catherine and brothers Vaux, Murdo and Gillean and by nephew Nigel. Cherished mother of Victor (Susan), Christine and Nancy and beloved mother-in law to Allen Kilpatrick. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Greg and Rob ( and their mother Jan), Laura, Jesse, Matthew and Sarah. , " Third Gran" to Kim. Proud greatgrandmother to Alex, Anika, Kyle and Brooke. He was a Presbyterian minister as were four of his brothers. Two other brothers were medical doctors. Another brother died young while studying for the ministry.
