He was a son of the late Elie Joseph and Marie Catherine (Poirier) Doucet. Claudie loved his work driving trucks and in his free time enjoyed four-wheeling, fishing and hunting. He was always there for his children when needed. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Doucet; sons Curtis Doucet and Bobby Doucet; daughter Cathleen Chiasson; brothers Billy, Percy, Samuel, Willie Joe, Donald and Yvon; sisters Isabelle Cormier, Brenda Doucet and Sylvia LaPointe; grandson Adam Hunt. He was predeceased by sisters Marie Thérèse Muise and Syvia Doucet. The body was cremated. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th, 2013 at Cheticamp Funeral Home with Father Daniel Deveau officiating. Condolences may be sent to: [email protected] MAILLET Joseph Maillet, 85, Highland Crest Home, Antigonish, formerly of Petit Etang, died October 25th, 2013 in Highland Crest Home. Born in Cheticamp to the late Patrick and Catherine "Katy Mae" (LaPierre) Maillet, he is survived by brother Henri Maillet, Cheticamp; sisters Evelyne Chiasson, New Waterford; Katie Bourgeois, Halifax; Thérèse Bourgeois, Peterborough, Ont.; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Johnny, Paul and Arthur; sisters Rose Poirier, Marguerite Marie Poirier, Mina Roach, Julie Anne Doucet. Funeral mass was held on Monday, October 28th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Cheticamp, with Father Daniel Deveau officiating, interment in the parish cemetery. Condolences may be sent to: [email protected] MUISE Alexandre "Sandy" Muise, 90, of Cheticamp, passed away Oct. 30th, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Born in Cheticamp, he was the son of the late Onzime and Elizabeth (Boudreau) Muise. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Sandy worked on dredge for several years. He was a fisherman for over 25 years. Sandy enjoyed hooking rugs and spending time on the wharfs. He also loved watching wrestlers. Sandy is survived by three sons, James (Eleanor) Muise, Toronto; Paul Albert Muise and John (Sharon) Muise, both of Cheticamp; daughter Mary (Roger) LeBlanc, Cheticamp; grandchildren Tony LeBlanc, Robert LeBlanc, Kelly LeBlanc (Mike Loux), Ricky Muise, Penny Patterson, Cathy Muise and Tina Muise; great-grandchildren Shaina LeBlanc, Nicholas LeBlanc, Brandon LeBlanc, Sydney Muise, Kayla Muise, Brandon Muise, Carter Muise, Tyler Muise and Ryiah Muise. He was predeceased by his wife, Winnifred Burke; sons Charlie Muise and Donald Muise; brothers Arthur Muise, Paul Muise, Denis Muise and Joseph Muise; one sister, Marie Rose Deveau. The body rested at the Cheticamp Funeral Home. Funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Cheticamp Funeral Home. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
