"Peg Nicholson, 81, of 1199 John Fitch Highway, Fitchburg, and formerly of 199 High St., Gardner, died Thursday, April 7th in the Birchwood Care Center, Fitchburg, following a long illness. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 14, 1923, she was the daughter of Daniel J. and Anne (MacNeil) Nicholson. She was a secretary last employed by Collier-Keyworth Co. of Gardner for 2 years, retiring in 1988. She was previously employed by Albert Locke Co. of Gardner. She was a 1941 graduate of Templeton High School and was its class secretary. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church. She enjoyed traveling, doing crafts and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She leaves 4 brothers, Michael W. Nicholson of Gardner, John J. Nicholson of Ingonish, Nova Scotia, Canada, Martin J. Nicholson of San Luis Obispo, CA and Daniel W. Nicholson of Montvale, NJ; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Gardner.
