Born in Toronto, Ont., he was the son of the late John Angus MacIntyre and Catherine (MacInnis) and stepfather Colin MacDonald. John worked in automobile sales for many years. He loved playing hockey and was a Canadiens fan. He would always lend a hand to a friend in need. He enjoyed touring around on his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his children and family. He is survived by his girlfriend Annette Armstrong; daughter Megan Dawn MacIntyre; son Nolan Angus MacIntyre; stepbrother Gerard (Chy) MacDonald; stepsister Coleen (Kevin) Ingraham; special cousin Donna (Dave) Cameron who was like a sister to him; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by grandparents Joseph Alex and Katie Bell MacIntyre, and John James and Margaret MacInnis. Visitation was held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, on Tuesday, December 3rd and Friday, December 6th at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Parish, Mabou. The funeral mass took place at St. Mary's Parish on Saturday, Dec. 7th at 11:00 a.m., Father Angus Morris officiating.
