Born February 11, 1928, Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Alexander ``Sandy`` and Gladys (Stephens) Boyd. He was educated in Sydney Mines Schools, Mt. Allison University graduating as an Electrical Engineer at the Nova Scotia Technical College in 1950. Employed by Nova Scotia Light and Power Company and successor power companies until his retirement. He was a Senior Owl and a long standing member of the Austenville Owls Club. He is survived by sons Ranald, Saskatoon; Lee, Oromocto; Kenneth, Eastern Passage; granddaughters Emilee Trisha Boyd, Jasimine Mary Keizer and a great granddaughter Lily Patricia Keizer; former wife Jean Crewe. A memorial service will be held Saturday December 28, 11 am in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street. Rev. Dr. P. A. Sandy Mc Donald officiating. Burial at a later date in Mount Hermon Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
