Born in Alder Point, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Christine (MacPhee) Walker. Helen was an avid walker and enjoyed attending indoor and outdoor concerts, however her greatest delight in life was spending time with her family and friends both young and old. Mom touched the hearts of many throughout the years, her ability to recognize the good in each and everyone was just one of her special traits. Even though she faced much tragedy, she always found her way back, a little broken but still with enthusiasm for what life had to offer in the future. She taught by example what true strength was, facing the short illness that took her from us with grace and dignity. We have lost an angel here on earth but true peace is now hers for eternity. Our loss is heaven's gain. Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Charlene (George), Dingwall, son, Troy, Sydney, siblings, Sylvia Walker (Frank), Margurite (Jim) Cullen, Diane (Neil) Hill, Shirley (Kevin) Doublett, Glenda (Paul) Long, Jack(Chris) MacDonald, grandchildren, Ryan, Shane, Danielle, Todd, Myles, Aaron, Eric, Jessie, great-grandchildren, Brooke, James, Sofie and Cameron, many nieces and nephews, as well as her special cousin, Linda MacDonald.
