The Chronicle-Herald, Thursday, 14 Mar 2013. FILEK, Raymond Stanley - 59, Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013, in the VG Site, QEII surrounded by his family and friends. Ray was born in Sydney. He was mar-ried to Wanda (Whitehead), and were approaching their 40th year of mar-riage. Ray worked as an independent businessman in appliances, courier services, and transmission repair for most of his life. He was best known as 'Ray The Transmission Man'. He en-joyed golf, pool, and playing cards. Ray is survived by his wife, Wanda; children, Stephen (Shane) and Angela; father, Raymond Sr. (Paula); brothers, Bruce (Jennifer), Robert (Donna); nieces and nephews, Ben, Amy, Patrick, Kayla, Amanda, Kenny, Jeff and Greg. He was predeceased by his mother, Vivian (Mouland). The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors of Capital Health. Crema-tion has taken place under the direc-tion of Cole Harbour Funeral Home & Crematorium, 1234 Cole Harbour Rd., where memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday.
