Born in Dudley, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Albert and Rose (Pijelskie) Sabesberger of Krakow, Poland. Frank served in the Canadian military for 20 years. He also was a shoe maker and taxi driver in Glace Bay. Frank loved to cook, travel and spent time with his family whom he deeply loved. He is survived by his daughter, Rosemarie (Alexander Abraham ‘Butch’ Feldman) with whom he resided; one sister, Caroline Sabesberger who also resides with Rosemarie; granddaughter, Annezita Feldman, at home; special brother in law, David Campbell, Bridgewater; three nieces, Cindy Coady, Margaret Campbell, Louise Hirtle; two nephews, David and Ronald Campbell. Frank will be sadly missed by his two dogs, Copper and Faustina. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife, Marie (Campbell) Sabesberger, formerly from New Waterford; one brother, Tony; one niece, Rose Mary; three sisters in law, Irene, Sr. David Marie (Sisters of Charity) and Claire. A private family service will be held in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Madeline Ponee Madeline is survived by her loving daughter-in-law Vanessa and her grandson Colby, who was her pride and joy. Our memories we will cherish forever. Steward Matheson Born In: Louisbourg Passed in: Glace Bay Passed on: February 18th, 2014 Steward Harrison Matheson age 92, of Glace Bay passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 18/2014 at the Glace Bay General Hospital Glace Bay. Born in Louisbourg he was the son of the late Charlie and Winifred Matheson. Steward was a veteran of the Second World War and also a member of versus legions in Glace Bay. Steward was known to many as the bread man. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Steward was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by sons Danny (Martha Burrows), Charlie (Marcia Pitts), Joe (Linda Burnett); daughters Winnie (John) Young, Rose Matheson Peach, 10 loving grandchildren Geraldine, Tena (Mike), Dano (Daniel), Tyrone (Andrea), Shana (Malcom), Jenell (Jason), Jaime (Dan), Michael (Tammy), Mason (Alex) and Angie, nine Great grandchildren Mauve, Liam, Brady, Taylor, Christian, Ethan, Tayah, Faith and Bryson. In Laws Lill (Reggie Jessome), Sundy McInnis, Joe (Marie Bianchi), Eph Arsenal. Besides his parents Steward was predeceased by his wife Vinnie; brothers Danny and Everett. Visitation for Mr. Matheson will be on Friday February 21/2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St. Glace Bay. Funeral Service will be on Saturday February 22/2014 at 10 a.m. in St Paul’s Presbyterian Church Glace Bay with Rev Allan MacLellan officiating, burial will take place at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery Glace Bay.
