Looking for Family connections for Gillis Gillis born Scotland 1792 married to Ann MacDougall born Scotland 1802. Children were Catherine 1826, Mary 1832, James 1835, Margaret 1838, Mary 1841, Ronald 1844 and Joseph born July 23, 1847. Joseph was baptized at St Margaret's Church Grand Mira. Sponsors were Angus Gillis and Catherine MacDonald. This family relocated to Lochiel, Glengarry Ontario in the 1850's except for The first Mary. Wally was also employed as a dockside monitor for Department of Fisheries and eventually worked and retired with Canada Post. Some of Wally's favourite hobbies were going to square dances, Celtic music, playing guitar and his passion for sports, especially hockey. He was an exceptional pool player (by reputation). > Angus was a hard worker and good provider. He loved to spend time with family and friends and always willing to lend a hand to any.
