I think it was in the Halifax Herald Green, Mrs. Angus 04 Sept 1978 North Sydney Her Husband Cape Breton Post, Tuesday, May 13, 2003 Angus James Green 77, North Sydney With sadness we announce the death of Angus James Green, 77, a resident of Taigh Solais Nursing Home, Northside General Hospital, formerly of 84 Brook St., North Sydney, on Monday, May 12, 2003. Born in English Harbour West, Nfld., Angus was the son of the late John and Esther (Barnes) Green. At a very young age Angus went to sea and continued to work on and around boats all his life until his retirement in 1990. Angus was a veteran of the Second World War and having served in the Merchant Marines. Angus is survived by four daughters, Yvonne (George Power), North Sydney, Frances (Wayne) Seastrom, Kansas, Carol (Brian) Lewis, Margaree, Nancy (Dave) Lazier, Alberta; one son, John (Ina) Green, Leitches Creek; one sister, Ella (Richard) Methvin, Florida; three brothers, Ron (Lorraine), Tom (Nell), both of North Sydney, Lewis (Jean), P.E.I.; seven grandchildren; also by many nieces and nephews. Angus was predeceased by his wife, the former Kathleen (Yorke) Green and an infant brother and sister. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Tuesday) in W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. from St. John the Baptist Anglican Church with Archdeacon Reg MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Angus' memory to Taigh Solais Nursing Home, Northside General Hospital or to a charity of one's choice. Her Daughter Frances Esther Seastrom, 64, of Wann, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her home. Frances was born on July 22, 1949 in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada to Angus and Kathleen (Yorke) Green. She grew up in North Sydney where she received her high school education. Frances moved to the United States in the 1960's where she lived in the New York before moving to the Coffeyville, Kansas area. She worked for Medicalodge and CRMC in the Medical Billing Departments. On August 28, 1982 she was united in marriage to Wayne Seastrom in Coffeyville, Kansas. The couple moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1984 where she worked for a Pathologist and a Pediatric Clinic in the Billing Departments. The couple returned to the area in 2002. Frances was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. She enjoyed working with ceramics, knitting and crocheting and the company of her dog, George. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her close friends and her family. Surviving to honor her memory is her husband, Wayne of the home; son, Pat Crozier and wife, Karen of Calgary, AB, Canada; brother, John Green and wife, Ina of North Sydney, NS, Canada; sister, Nancy Lazier and husband, David of Banff, AB, Canada; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Angus and Kathleen and two sisters, Yvonne Power and Carol Lewis. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville, Kansas. Friends may call on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville to sign the guest register.
