Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Mae and Edward Baird. Wanda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years Tom. She leaves behind daughters, Gi-Gi ( Jackie) Burke, Kim ( Duncan) MacQueen, both of Glace Bay, Darlene (Reid) MacQueen of Hamilton and a son Shane (Margaret) of Arnprior. Wanda adored her grandchildren, Darren, Daniel, Brad, Taylor, Neil, Tyler, Keith, Kenneth and Thomas and especially her cherished four-legged sidekick Charlie. Wanda is also survived by a brother Keith. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Jean and a brother Warren. There will be no visitation by Mrs. MacDougall’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Patten Funeral Home Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, If there is inclement weather this service will be held on Thursday March 28 at 2 p.m. Online condolences can be sent to the family by visiting www.pattenfuneralhome.com. Doris MacDermid Margaree Valley It i s with heavy hearts and fond memories we announce the passing of our mother, Doris MacDermid, 85, of Margaree Valley, on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the ICM Hospital. Born in Belle Cote to the late Alfred and Annie (Phillips) Ingraham. She is survived by daughters, Edie (Leo) M acDougall, Washabuck, Evelyn (Kevin) Carmicahel, Helen (Daniel) Stewart, Margaree Valley and a son, Ian ( John), Dartmouth; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Laura, Ella, Margaret, Alice ( Jerry), Della and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald MacDermid and five brothers, Ruben, James, Bevis, Alex and Bud. Visitation will be Thursday, March 27 from 6-9 p.m. at the Wilson United Church Hall, Margaree Centre. Service Friday March 28 at 11 a .m. in th e Wilson United Church Hall, Margaree Centre, family members only. Interment in the Margaree V alley Baptist Church Cemetery.
