    3. Published in Orange County Register Orange County, California April 12, 2014 MacIsaac, Donald Joseph December 28, 1923 - April 10, 2014 We lost a great one this morning. Born in Cape Breton, Inverness Nova Scotia, Canada to John Angus MacIsaac and Margaret Bell (MacLellan). He was the third oldest of ten children. Joined the Canadian Army at age 17 during WWII. Served in North Africa and Europe. Came across Canada to Kimberly, British Columbia and met Phyllis (Bureau) they were married 64 years. Worked in the Sullivan mine for 10 years. Moved to the states in 1958 and raised 5 children. Worked at ARCO Oil Refinery for 28 years. Was one of the original members of St. Barbara Catholic Church. Very active in St. Vincent De Paul and the Knights of Columbus. He was a good and decent man who thought of others before himself. Just ask his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret; sisters, Mary, Rosie and Effie; brothers, Ambrose, Neil, Paul, Jimmy, Wilfred; and first born so n, Donnie. Survived by his wife, Phyllis; brother, Malcolm; children, Larry, Greg, Debbie, Heather and Michael; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Services: Monday April 14, 2014, 4-7pm, Vigil 5pm. Mass Tuesday April 15, 2014, 10:00am at St. Barbara Catholic Church. Committal following mass, Good Shepherd Cemetery Huntington Beach. Brown Colonial Mortuary submitted by [email protected]
