Born in San Martino di Lupari, Italy, he was the only child of the late Giovanni (Johnny) and Ines (Trevisan) Antonello. Enso’s most important role in life was as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was raised on Mitchell Ave, Dominion. His first job was with Highland Motors in Glace Bay, he then became purchasing manager for the Town of Glace Bay, retiring with the CBRM. He was a lifetime fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. In his young years he played miner hockey, coached little league and trained the sea cadets. Enso also served on the board of directors for the Glace Bay Miner’s Forum and the Savoy Theatre. He was proud of his life membership and serving as past president for the Italian Hall in Dominion, where he was the oldest member and enjoyed the delicious Italian dinners. He was 3rd degree member with the KOC, Glace Bay Council and at one time served as the Deputy Grand Knight. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Geraldine (Phalen) Antonello; daughters, Lorinda Antonello (Seamus Jackson) and Alisa Cook (David); grandchildren, Parker Regan, Ceileann Regan (Jarrett MacDonald), Kira Clarke (Joey), Malory McVicar (Paolo Mont); three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Norah and Quinn. Visitation for Mr. Antonello will be on Thursday, January 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main Street, Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Friday, January 27, at St Anne’s Church, Glace Bay. The Rev Leo Boone will be officiating. The interment will be at a later date, in the parish cemetery. James Lyle "Jamie" Bancks Born: January 18th, 1949 Passed on: January 23rd, 2017 It is with sadness that we, Jamie’s family, announce his passing on Monday, January 23, 2017, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 18, 1949, in Sydney, he was the son of Marion (Buchanan) and the late Ainslie Bancks. Jamie is survived by two sons, Jamie and David, Mira and their mother, Teresa. He so cherished the boys frequent visits. Also survived by his twin sister, Judy, New Waterford; sister, Sheila (Roy), Sydney and many nieces and nephews. Until its closure, Jamie was employed at the Sydney Steel Plant. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 138, Ashby, where, for many years, he volunteered his time selling poppies, as well as participating in the Remembrance Day Parade. Jamie enjoyed bowling, darts and softball. He made many friends through his team involvements over the years and never passed a person by without a big hello or wave. Jamie handled his years living with prostate cancer with relative ease. He seldom complained and often said, ‘It is what it is!’ He thought highly of his medical oncologist, Dr. Kododad and trusted and respected his advice. However, Jamie did have alternative healing therapies of his own, which seemed to enhance his quality of life. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. Gracie and the staff of palliative care for the care provided to Jamie. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Graeme Rudderham Born In: Nova Scotia, Canada Passed in: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed on: January 22nd, 2017 Rudderham, Graeme Age 45, Graeme Rudderham, P.Eng., MBA/MM, PMP, of Halifax, passed after a courageous fight with colon cancer, on Jan. 22, 2017 at the V.G. Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 1971 in North Sydney, N.S., Graeme was the son of Dawn and the late William (Jerry) Rudderham, Point Edward, N.S. Graeme graduated from Riverview High School as a Canada Scholar, Saint Mary’s University-Diploma of Engineering, Technical University of Nova Scotia-Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), York University-Masters Certificate in Project Management, American Graduate School of Management -Masters of Management, Lansbridge University-Masters of Business Administration. Graeme worked at Litton Systems, Bell Aliant, xwave, and his last position was Director of Information Technology with Jazz Aviation. Graeme was very active in sports particularly the martial arts where he earned his 4th degree black belt in taekwondo and his blue belt in jujitsu. He also enjoyed golf, water skiing, wind surfing and fine dining. His true passion was travelling the world with his wife Linda. He is survived by his loving wife and partner of over 24 years, Linda Mosher, his mother Dawn, grandmother Mona (Batherson), his brother Keith (Lori) and sisters Erin (Rob) and Cynthia and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on the Rudderham, Batherson, Mosher and Arseneau sides of the extended family. Visitation will be held at the J A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive on Friday, Jan. 27th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A service of remembrance will be held at J A Snow’s on Sat. Jan. 28th at 10 am. Born in North Sydney on September 29, 1955, Ronnie was the son of the late Fredell and Ethel (Hatcher) Robinson. Ronnie worked for many years in Ontario where he was employed as a printer in graphic art design. He enjoyed fishing, biking and listening to country music. Ronnie was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Chris Diamant), Ottawa; his two grandchildren, Connor and Carter; his siblings, Walter (Cathy) Robinson, Alex Robinson, both of North Sydney, Joe (Diana) Robinson, Cleveland, Ohio, Bonnie Robinson, Sydney, Cora (Ron) Shaw, Bras d’Or, Naomi (Lawrence) Boutilier, North Sydney, Janie Robinson (Roger Quirk), North Sydney and by his many nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, Fredell and Ethel, Ronnie was predeceased by his brothers, Fred, Leo, Clayton, Jackie and Danny and his niece, Andrea Robinson.
