A resident of Sudbury since 1953, she passed away the morning of February 2nd, 2017, at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury. Born and raised in Mabou, Nova Scotia, Kay was loving wife to Alec Angus Campbell (predeceased) and special friend to Donald MacKeigan (predeceased). She is survived by her three children Charles Roger, Joan (John), and Donald (Tammy); and two grandchildren Meagan and Alex. Two sons, Donald and Bryden, predeceased her. Kay is also survived by one brother Angus. Daughter of the late Daniel Neil MacPhee and Catherine Jane (nee MacKinnon) . She is predeceased by her brothers Ranald, Neil, John Lauchie, Archie, Alex, and sister Donelda. Family was the primary focus of her life and she will be dearly missed by her friends and family in Inverness County, Cape Breton, and Sudbury. Private family funeral prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home were held on February 3rd, 2017. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice or COPD Sudbury Chapter would be appreciated. BOSTON Martin Cameron Boston, age 79 years, of Port Hawkesbury formerly of Blues Mills, Inverness County passed away on Monday, January 30th, 2017, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Apple River, Cumberland County, on June 16th, 1937, he was a son of the late Earl Sinclair and Leona (Cook) Boston. Martin worked for the CNR as a telegrapher and bridge tender. He was a collector of trains; he was one of the pioneers in the forming of the Orangedale Railway Station Museum. He enjoyed reading and cooking and loved all animals especially cats. He was the Commissioner of Oaths for Blues Mills, Orangedale, and River Denys and he was a dedicated Boston Bruins fan. Martin is survived by cousins including Victor, Michael (Joanne), and other family members. He was predeceased by his sister Jean Boston and Robert Cook “Uncle Bob”. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11th, at 2:00 p.m. in Princeville United Church with Rev. Donna Lovelace officiating. Burial to take place at a later date in the Cameron Cemetery. With heavy hearts, the family would like to announce the passing of our beloved “Marilyn”. She passed away peacefully with her cousin Donalda Timmons-MacEachern by her side and entered Heaven’s gates on Tuesday, January 31st, 2017, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Marilyn was a daughter of Joseph Gany and Melina Mariah Clark born on December 9th, 1938, in New Waterford. At the age of six months after her mother’s passing she was relocated to Inverness and raised by her grandparents James and Maria Clark. Marilyn was a proud resident of MacLean Street. She had a passion for animals, a love for knitting, and a kind and generous heart for all. Throughout her life she worked as a caregiver within different homes in the community. She was known for her witty personality and was delighted to hear the score of the game, announcements of wedding proposals, and the new baby arrivals. She became a resident of the Inverary Manor at the age of 76 and was warmly welcomed by all during her three year residency. Marilyn is survived by her brother Emile “Sunny” (Wilma) Gany and sisters Josephine (Don) Whale, Rennie (James “Jim”) Patashneick, and Flora (Jermaine “Jerry”) Martel. Marilyn will be especially missed by her extended family Donalda MacEachern and her children Daniel (wife Nikki, Samantha, Shelby, and Lizzi), Jason (wife Kara, Hallie, Meah, Lauchie), Cathy MacEachern, and Kelly (Ethan, Brock) MacLean, as well as the family decedents of Lizzi and Henry Timmons and all those who knew and loved this beautiful lady. Her strong and courageous heart will continue to beat and shine on through all who loved her dearly. May you rest in peace and happiness, Marilyn. Memorial services and celebration of Marilyn’s life were held on Monday, February 6th, in St. Mathew’s United Church, Inverness, with funeral service following with Pastor Maggie Plant celebrating.
