For many years he conducted a successful grocery business at Ashby Corner, and after selling out went to Sydney River where he operated a farm and a business along with it. His death followed a general illness and the news of his passing will be learned with deep regret by a host of friends, acquainances and patrons who held him in high esteem. Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Edmund. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The funeral of the late Mike Ratushny will take place from his late residence at Sydney River, Friday, Apr 23, 1943 at 9:45 am sevice Ukranian Church, West Street, Whitney Pier at 10:30.
