Halifax Herald July 19, 1966 NORTH SYDNEY - Mrs. Harold McLaughlin, a resident of North Sydney for the past 18 months, and former resident of Hazel Hill, died Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was 77. Born at Heart's Content, Nfld., she lived in Hazel Hill most of her life before coming to North Sydney in 1964 with her husband. They resided at the home of her sister, Mrs. Walter E. Long, Stanley Street. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Angel. She was a member of the Anglican Church, and for many years was active in the Canso Chapter of the IODE. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Barbara (Mrs. R.W. Rankine), Trois Rivieres, P.Q.; and a son, Huntley, a Flight Sergeant with the RCAF at Summerside; two sisters: Mrs. W.E. Long, North Sydney; Linda (Mrs. G.A. Stephenson), Vancouver; and a brother, Arthur, Chicago; also 10 grandchildren.
