Mrs. Joseph Michalik (Aggie Planetta) Sept 9, 1975 p27 Herald reel 6052 NSARM Mrs. Joseph Michalik Glace Bay - Mrs. Joseph Michalik, 59, of 8 Stanley Street died Saturday in Glace Bay General Hospital. Born in Sydney, she was the former Aggie Planetta. She was a member of Holy Cross parish. She is survived by her husband, five sons, Joseph Melnick, Ontario; Edward Melnick and John Melnick, Glace Bay; Edward Michalik, Montreal; Ben Michalik, Glace Bay; five daughters, Mary (Mrs. John McNab), Ontario; Cecila (Mrs. William Murphy), Glace Bay; Frances (Mrs. Lawrence Reid) and Camella (Mrs. Gary MacKay), both of Toronto; three brothers, Peter, Joseph and Adolph, California. The body is in Curry's Funeral Home Glace Bay. Mass will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday with burial in the parish cemetery. I think both Aggie Planetta and Joseph Michalik were married previously to being married to each other. Joseph married Catherine Ropek 1926. She died 1957. I don't have any dates of marriage for Agnes Planetta to Unknown Melnick/Melnyk, nor to Joseph Michalik who I think died abt 1982. (not listed in Herald, and I am unsure of my source for that death date) If anyone has information that would help clarify this, that would be helpful.
