Per the NSHVS: A Christina Boutilier married a Neil J Maclean in CBC in 1906. per the marriage record her parents were Alfred and Christy An Ellen Boutilier married a Robert Stubbert also in CBC in 1906. I think the obit writer got the two Boutilier girls mixed up. bob gillis > > Daniel (Alfie) MacLean 90, Sydney - Daniel Alfred (Alfie) MacLean, > 90, of 69 St. Peters Rd., and formerly 119 Ashby Rd., Sydney, passed > away peacefully on Sept. 27, 2008. 3. Ellen Boutilier was born in Reserve, C.B. c1885 and died 1943. According to her death record (N.S.H.V.S. web site) her parents were Alfred & Christina (McIntosh) Boutilier. Ellen married Neil J. McLean in Sydney (1906 N.S.H.V.S.). Her name is recorded as Christina in the marriage record (possibly a recording error) but her name was given as "Ellen" on the death record for her husband in 1933. Her death is also recorded as "Ellen" in 1943. In the book 'All Call Iona Home' fam. # 535 her name is given as 'Nellie' which is a common name used for Helen or Ellen. Hope this helps.
