Cape Breton Deaths June 26, 2008 Thursday Elaine Annette MacLellan 56, Scotchtown - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Annette MacLellan, Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Josephine (MacPherson) MacIsaac. Annette was a homemaker, she was a member of the New Waterford Army, Navy and Air Force, and enjoyed playing darts, reading and watching TV. She had a special friend in her dog, Pepper. Annette is survived by her son, John, at home, two brothers, Frank, New Waterford, and Lennie (Judy), Alberta. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John, a sister, Sheila White, and a brother, Ray MacIsaac. Visitation for Annette will take place Friday, June 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, N.S., 862-7500. A funeral mass to celebrate Annette's life will be held Saturday, June 28 at 11 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard/St. Agnes Church with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery. A luncheon to follow in St. Agnes hall, all are invited. Donations in Annette's memory may be made to the Cancer Society. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mclellanfuneralhome.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Annie MacLeod 93, Sydney - Annie Mary MacLeod, 93, of Cherry Street, Sydney, formerly of Royal Avenue, passed away at home, Wednesday, June 25, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Framboise, she was a daughter of the late William and Effie (MacDonald) MacLeod. Annie was a member of the Westminster Bible Presbyterian Church, the WMS and the auxiliary of the Cove Guest Home. Annie is survived by her husband of 70 years, Kenneth; daughter, Christine (Jim) Trimm, White Rock, B.C.; sisters, Archena MacNevin and Georgie MacLeod, Sydney; grandchildren, Sherry (Steve) Conrad, Beth (Tommy) Lynch and Jamie (Monique) Trimm; great-grandchildren, Brad, Kristopher and Ashley Conrad, Amanda and Stephen Lynch. Annie was predeceased by her daughter, Katherine Ann, a daughter in infancy, siblings, Catherine, Mary Anne, Margaret Tina, brother Neil Alex, Margaret Anne, Dolena, Hannah and Norma. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Friday, June 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 1 p.m. with James Murchison officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice. Predeceased by her husband, Duncan in 1988 and siblings, Neil, Mary, Catherine, John, Bella and Malcolm. Survived by her much loved nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews. Prayer service to be held on Sunday evening, June 29 at 7 p.m. at St. Monica's Parish, 12011 Woodhead Rd., Richmond. A Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Monday, June 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Monica's. Interment at Gardens at Gethsemane in Surrey.
