CREEMER, Shirley Violet 71, Greenwood, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late James and Lillian Mae (Snow) Dean. Shirley was very outgoing. She loved people and life and always had a positive outlook. Shirley loved her family dearly. She is survived by daughters, Shelley (Terry) Hickman, Meadowvale; Deborah Ward, Greenwood; sons, Vaughn (Sharon Crandall) and John, both of Tremont; sisters, Mae (Elmer) Archibald, Truro; Mary (Borden) Smyth, Centralia, Ont.; Jeanette McKinnon, Huron Park, Ont.; Janet McAdam, Sydney; brothers, James (Edie) Dean and Walter (Myrtle) Dean, both of Truro, and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Perley; sister, Ann Gerow, and brother, Danny Dean. By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Rev. Warren Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Kingston United Cemetery.
