Halifax Herald April 18, 1964 INVERNESS - A 40-year-old man was killed yesterday when the car in which he was a passenger smashed through a guard rail and plunged down a 75-foot embankment. He was Alexander Joseph MacLellan of Southwest Margaree. Driver of the car, John Leo MacDonnell of Margaree Harbor, escaped uninjured. RCMP said the car failed to negotiate a curve eight miles northeast of Inverness on Highway 19. MacLellan was thrown free and then pinned under the car, they said.
