Cape Breton Deaths August 13, 2008 Wednesday Patricia Anne White 68, Moncton, N.B. - Patricia Anne White, 68 of Moncton, N.B., passed away peacefully August 11, 2008. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Theresa and Thomas O'Leary. Patricia graduated from St. Martha's Hospital School of Nursing, Antigonish, N.S. in 1959 and spent the majority of her career working as an operating room nurse at the Moncton Hospital, where she later volunteered for several years. Pat will be remembered as a nature lover, especially birds and dogs and in particular, her faithful companion, Mitzy. She will be deeply missed by her only child, daughter Erin MacDonald (Mark) Sydney, N.S.; her sister, Maureen Biggs (Sam), Moncton, N.B.; brothers, Bill O'Leary (Mary), Lawrencetown, N.S., Brian O'Leary (Ann), Calgary, Atla. and her two grandsons, Dylan and Connor MacDonald. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and step-children. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Dr. O.J. White and her brother, Thomas O'Leary. Cremation has taken place and at Patricia's request there will be no visitation. Her remains will be interred during a private ceremony at a later date. Born in Burtts Corner, N.B., he was the son of the late Bernard and Dora (Bird) Hine. He was a member of the armed forces and travelled overseas, and later became a plumber by trade. Donnie is survived by his two sons, Eric (Sharon) Hine, Edmonton, Alta., Jamie Hine, New Brunswick; three sisters, Marion (Eldred) Love, Mactaquac, N.B., Jean Branscombe, Fredericton, N.B., Doris (Andrew) Berna, Kamloops, B.C.; brother, Richard 'Rick' (Debbie) Hine; mother of his children, Elva Hine as well as three grandchildren, Brian, Rodney and Crystal Hine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Lloyd. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 at his previous residence in Antigonish, N.S. Beloved mother of Gladys, Danny and Todd; mother-in-law of Anna and loving grandmother of Daniel, Arthur, Steven, Stephanie and Tommy; sister of Hazel, Helen, Alfreda, Wannie, Ivy, Ruby and Angus. Rowena dearly loved her family and her friends. Funeral service will be held in Corner Brook, NL on Friday, August 15 at 2 p.m in Saint John the Evangelist Church.
