Halifax Herald February 19, 1964 SYDNEY MINES - Charles Burchell, 82, life-long resident of Sydney Mines, died suddenly at his residence, 53 Crescent Street. He was a miner for 59 years before retiring in 1949. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. His wife died 12 years ago. Surviving are three daughters, , Stella (Mrs. Melvin MacKinnon), Sydney Mines; Sarah (Mrs. Murdock MacNeil), Sydney; Mary, at home; two sons, Cyril, Sydney Mines; Charles, Halfiax; a brother, Robert, Sydney Mines. The remains are at the George R. Francis Funeral Home.
