In the process of ironing out some wrinkles on the website of Greenwood Cemetery, Roger Tobin and I have been trying to make out a few obscure inscriptions.  One, in section E5 of the cemetery, appears to be Vince Svoboda 1878 - 1965 The inscription is on a very corroded metal plate attached to quite a rough piece of concrete.  There is no obituary for him in the Herald, according to the CD.  While I haven't had a chance to check city directories as yet, I can't find any evidence for that surname (which is common in the Czech Republic) in Cape Breton.  There was one family of that name in Pictou County, however.  Does anyone know anything about this gentleman, or seen an obituary for him?  Doug Grant
