Halifax Herald December 29, 1964 Henry (Harry) John King, 38 of MacDonald Trailor Court, Fairview, died suddenly Sunday evening. He was the son of Chesley B. King and Mrs. Annie Riddle King of Syndey Mines. He served overseas during the Second World War and was a member of the Canadian Legion, Fairview Branch No. 142. Mr. King was also an active member of the N.S. Association for Retarded children, playing part in raising funds for the organization. He was employed by Bill Lynch shows as assistant manager of the greater exhibition show. He also worked for the Halifax Freight Handlers Association. He is survived by his wife Anita; two sons, Michael and Billy; three daughters, Patsy, Karen and Debbie; his mother, Mrs. Annie Riddle, Sydney Mines; four brothers, Percy, Halifax; Chesley, Sydney Mines; Charles and Earnest of Kitchener, Ont.; five sisters, Mrs. Peggy Fyfield, Lower Sackville; Mrs. Josephine Aubrey, California; Mrs. Margaret Young, Sydney Mines; Mrs. Elizabeth Weaver, Dartmouth; Mrs. Phillis Hillier, Sydney Mines. His body is at the R.D. Lindsay Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd. Funeral services will be held from St. John's Anglican Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday with interment in the church Cemetery.
