Anyone with connections to Joseph MacNEIL who married Christy MacLeod, daughter of Rory MacLEOD and Mary Ann ROSS before 1881? Christie was born at Big Intervale. I have been led to believe they met in Glouchester, MA and returned to Port Hastings at some point. I believe they had four children: Mary, John, Murdock, and Joseph. Christie, my ggaunt, later married Alexander Garland and she died in Port Hastings in 1956 at the age of 95. I have been unsuccessful locating a death for Joseph Sr. I also have been unsuccessul locating her marriage to Alexander. I'm also very curious about what happened to the four children - the only info I have is that Murdock may have had US military service. Any suggestions will be most appreciated.
