Halifax Herald May 11, 1963 SYDNEY - The death of Mrs. Mildred Thompson occurred at City Hospital, Sydney. Born at Northport, Cumberland County in 1886, daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Anderson, she had spent the greater part of her married life in Oxford, having resided with her son, Sidney, Blackett's Lake, Cape Breton for the past eight years. She was a member of Trinity United Church, Oxford, where she had participated in various church activities, having been a member of the choir for over 30 years. Surviving are two daughters, Emma (Mrs. Neil MacRae), Bras d'Or, and Ruby (Mrs. Paul Hudak), Oxford; two sons, Sidney, Blackett's Lake, and Carman, Los Angeles, Calif. There are also three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her husband predeceased her in 1943. The funeral service was held from Black's Funeral Home, Oxford, conducted by Rev.
