Halifax Herald December 26, 1963 Mrs. Gladys Thorne died Tuesday at the Victoria General Hospital after a short illness. She was the former Gladys Redmayne of North Sydney. A member of the Nova Scotia Society of Artists, she was also active in women's organizations at the Fort Massey United Church. Surviving are her husband, Harvey Thorne; two daughters, Nancy (Mrs. D.S. Ross), California and Mary (Mrs. T.H. White) England.
