THE SYDNEY RECORD, JULY 5, 1915 DROWNED AT SOUTH BAR John Allen of South Bar was drowned by the upturning of a dory on Saturday night. The body was recovered yesterday morning and an inquest will be held on Wednesday. Allan, in company with Alex. Jeans, had been to North Sydney, and on returning to South Bar was handing parcels out of the dory to Janes, who was on the wharf. The dory overturned and Allen was thrown into the water. Darkness made it impossible to render assistance. The deceased was twenty years of age. (Name Allen was published as is above.
