The Sydney Record - Monday Evening - September 20, 1915 SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. A MCEACHERN (Special to the Record) North Sydney, Sept. 20 - One of the best known of the old time residents of Sydney Mines passed away on Thursday last in the person of Mrs. Angus McEachren. Convent Street. While not in good health for some time, deceased was able to be about the house the day before death. Mrs. McEachren, who was a sister of Mayor McCormack, by her kindly manner, had endeared herself to a large circle of friends at Sydney Mines, and surrounding districts, who will regret to hear of her demise. Besides her husband, she is urvived by three brothers, Messrs. John John, Daniel and Alex McCormack, and three sisters, Misses Matilda and Elizabeth, Mrs. (Dr.)T.H. Smith, North Sydney, and Mrs Bateman, of Boston. Interment took place on Saturday morning at St. Mary's cemetery.
