THE SYDNEY RECORD MONDAY EVENING, SEPTEMBER 20, 1915 BURIED AT PICTOU Pictou Advocate-The remains of the late Alex Campbell arrived in Pictou at noon Tuesday from Sydney and the funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon to the New cemetery. The Pictou Odd Fellows attended the funeral in a body. Mr. Campbells two sons and daughter by his first wife and his second wife and little child accompanied the remains to Pictou. Miss Campbell is remaining in Pictou for a time and Capt. Charles is likely to make his home here in future. **************** The Sydney Record - September 14, 1915 ALEXANDER CAMPBELL FUNERAL The funeral of the late Alexander Campbell took place last night from the home at 293 Esplanade. The services at the home was conducted by Rev. J.W. Bartlett and the remains were tenderly cared for by the brethren of the I.O.O.F., who paraded, preceding the hearse in street suit and regalia, to the I.R.C. depot, whence the remains were removed to Pictou for interment. The pall bearers were all members of Queen Lodge, viz: A.G. Cameron, Neil McDonald, D. J. McQuarrie, Alex McLean, Angus Livingstone and Murray McPherson. The parade was marshalled by John McVicar, Dan McPherson, and V.E. Schurman, noble grand and vice grand filling their respective offices for the occasion.
