Hello list - Was very pleased to finally find a great aunt, Lydia (Elizabeth) Matheson b. 1877 to William and Ellen (Hennessey) Matheson of Sydney Mines. She married (Mathew) Wilson Burchell in Sydney Mines, 1909. By 1916 they were in Trucho, Alberta. (WW I papers) The next find is not until 1949 - Lydia Burchell lives in Calgary and she and her sister, Jessie Harney of Winchester, MA are found in documents proving birth of brother, James Matheson living then in Moncton, New Brunswick by DELAYED BIRTH REGISTRATION in NS. These delayed birth registrations are a huge help - they were added to the Historical Vital Statistics archives in May '08. This has been the best breakthrough of the last several years in my Matheson line. Welcoming any comments regarding this family of Benjamin and Sarah (McKinnon) Burchell and their son, Mathew Wilson Burchell. Have located them in the 1901. Sheila Matheson Is Mike Burchell of Ottawa still a member of the list?
