Sep 29, 1995 Chronicle Herald: WOODFINE, Michael - 84, 125 Cashin Cres., Scotchtown, died September 28, 1995, in New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. Born in Reserve Mines, he was a son of the late Solomon and Helen (Doody) Woodfine. He was a very active fisherman and hunter and was the first provincial forest ranger for the Province of Nova Scotia. He was a member of St. Michael's Parish. Surviving are a son, Robert, New Waterford; two grandchildren; sister, Lettie (Mrs. Earl White), Oakville, Ont.; brother, Johnny, Niagara Falls, Ont. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Columbina Caverzan; sisters, Kathleen, Sarah, Mary; brothers, Peter, Joseph, Soloman. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Homes Ltd., 380 Smith St., New Waterford. Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael's Church, Scotchtown, Rev. Bill Rankin officiating. Burial in parish cemetery.
