Jan 8, 1963 Halifax Chronicle Herald: SPRINGHILL - Mrs. Ambrose Lees, 77, died at All Saints Hospital, Monday after a short illness. She was the former Annie Bagnell, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bagnell, Gabarouse, Cape Breton. She was a member of Wesley United Church. Surviving are her husband, Ambrose; two daughters, Daisy (Mrs. Victor Taylor), Tatamagouche and Geneva (Mrs. Lawrence Gilroy), Springhill; three sons, Joseph, Pincher Creek, Alta.; Earl, Dorchester, N.B. and Robert, Amherst. One son, Douglas, predeceased her. Funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. from her daughter's home, 7 Morris Street, with Rev. R.J. Miller officiating.
