Born in Malagash, she was a daughter of Annie (Stevens) Treen and the late Arthur E. Treen. She was a member of Sydney River United Protestant Church. She was employed as a laboratory technologist at Sydney City Hospital and was an ardent curler and golfer. She is survived by her husband, Herb; daughter, Jennifer, at home; two sons, Andrew, Wolfville; Stephen, at home; five sisters, Dorothy (Mrs. Layton Ryan), Conns Mills; Anna (Mrs. Bruce Farnsworth), Richmond, B.C.; Bertha, Malagash; Grace (Mrs. Dave Succamore), Surrey, B.C.; Jean (Mrs. Dave Speakman), Tatamagouche. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Sydney River United Protestant Church.
