Nov 9, 1965 Halifax Chronicle Herald: GLACE BAY - Mrs. Walter Mattinson, 81, died in Glace Bay General Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two months. Born at Murray Harbour, Prince Edward Island, Mrs. Mattinson came here in 1913, was a member of Knox United Church and of the Jubilee Rebekah Lodge. Predeceased by her husband in 1960, she is survived by two daughters, Mary, at home, Louise (Mrs. Arthur Gourley), of Saginaw, Michigan, one son, Harold, of Saginaw, and two grandchildren.
