**September 11, 1961** SYDNEY - Ronald Joseph MacDonald, 79, well known Middle Cape farmer, died Saturday at St. Rita Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born at Big Pond, he was a life-long resident of the area. Surviving are his wife, five sons, Angus, Peter, at home; Michael, Boston; Donald, Hamilton; George, student at St. F.X. University; five daughters, Mary, at home; Sadie, Mrs. George Chase, Moncton; Jessie, Mrs. Victor McBernier, Agnes, Mrs. Patrick Wilson, Hamilton; Catherine, Halifax.
