Cape Breton Post 1971 (month & day unknown) HECTOR MACNEIL - Glace Bay - Hector MacNeil, 75, of 386R Main Street, Bridgeport, died at the family residence on Wednesday. A native of Piper's Cove, Mr. MacNeil was employed at 1-B Colliery, retiring 17 years ago. He was a veteran of the First World War, and was a member of Branch 78 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Mr. MacNeil was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. His wife, Catherine Cameron, predeceased him six years ago. A son, Angus also predeceased him. Mr. MacNeil is survived by sons, John of Wallace Road, Malcolm, Cameron, both of Toronto, Alexander of Bridgeport, Rev Edward MacNeil a member of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Ottawa, Ontario, Harvey at home, daughters, Annie (Archie) MacDougall of Dominion, Jessie (RN) (Ross) Matheson of Marion Bridge, Kaye Walsh of Toronto, a sister Mary (Murdock) MacKinnon, town, and a brother, Steve MacNeil of Dominion.
