Halifax Herald February 29, 1960 Michael Joseph MacDonald, Halifax, died Sunday in the Halifax Infirmary. He was 88. Born in Caledonia, he was a son of the late Hector and Mary MacDonald. He had resided with his daughter in Halifax for the past two years. Mr. MacDonald was a painter and decorator. He was an accomplished piano and violin player; and a member of St. Patrick's Church. He is survived by two sisters, Theresa, Halifax, Mrs. Mary Hart, Toronto. His wife predeceased him some time ago. The body will leave Walker's Funeral Home Monday for Sydney, where funeral services will be held from Curry's Funeral Home the following day.
